Floral Explorations
I got the inspiration for this work over the course of the past year constantly being exposed to so many high production shoots from different brands on social and I've always wanted to play around with those styles.
The things I wanted to practice here were texturing and lighting to recreate what I had in mind.
In my head, I wanted something that looked bold and with vibrant vibrant colors while also playing around with the popular studio-composition-shot with the white background but just crank up the contrast between the colors and the darker areas to make the subject pop.
I got the base flower model from a pack that a creator named Cheuqs sells on Blender Superhive, then from there tweaked the textures and played with lighting. Because I was going for a more hyper-realistic look, I tried looking for other textures for the Hibiscus petal, but couldn't find any that matched my needs, so I generated the Base Color Map for the petal with AI, then manually made the Normal, Displacement, Specular, and Opacity map on my own and then upscaling them and rendering the final images in ~9.5k resolution.
Happy with how these turned out! And with that...here are my renders for the hibiscus flower in different styles and angles + some behind the scenes and some sketches too.
